Getting started

The Engine tab:

In the engine tab, you can select one of the eight possible engine configuration. Available options are:

You can set the value of parameters 'Bore' and 'Stroke' to alter the displacement of the engine.

The parameter 'Intake tuning' changes the shape of the torque curve and defines where the torque peak occurs. It can have values between 0 and 1.

The parameter 'Longitudinal offset' is longitudinal distance of center of the engine from front axle. It can have values only in the case of front longitudinal engine rear wheel drive or four wheel drive.

You can also select induction type. Following induction types are available:

On the bottom left of the 'Engine' tab, there isa rectangle with an engine block in it as shown below. It shows the engine in the engine bay. The horizontal black line shows the position of the axle (front or rear). You can adjust the parameters like longl. offset to fit the engine inside the engine bay properly.

There is some information about the engine on top right of the tab that includes displacement, max torque, max power, weight of the engine and dimentions of the bounding box containing the engine.

On the bottom right, there is a graph showing torque and power of the engine against RPM as shown below.
