Getting started

The Guages tab:

In this tab, you can design the guage cluster for your vehicle containing speedometer, tachometer, temparature guage and fuel guage. It also contains turn signals, parking brake signal and high beam signal. Select the length and width of the guage cluster to fit its slot in the dashboard. You can also choose between a 'black on white' and a 'white on black' guage cluster.

For speedometer, you have to specify the maximum speed the speedometer should be marked. Speed tick interval and speed label interval should be choosen according to the available space on the speedometer. Similarly for tachometer, you have to specify the maximum RPM the tachometer should go. Units of max RPM are x1000r/min.

For all the guages, 'Position' means the position of pivot point of their needles. Position has X and Y coordinates. If the cluster has dimensions of 0.3x0.1, then (X=0,Y=0) means top-left corner and (x=0.3,Y=0.1) means bottom-right corner of the guage cluster. Radius means distance between needle pivot point and outer edge of tick marking of the guage. Angle 1 is angle of the minimum value of the guage from the right-pointing horizontal line and Angle 2 is angle of the maximum value of the guage from the right-pointing horizontal line. You can select the rotation direction of the guage needle either clockwise or anti-clockwise. You can also set the size and positions of turn signals, parking brake signal and high beam signal.
